Director’s Assistant | My Sweet Lord | Music Video for UMG

Supported filmmaker Lance Bangs creating the official music video for the 50th anniversary of George Harrison’s iconic song, with all tasks needed: spanning creative production, art department, and office administration tasks. Coordinated group travel for multi-city schedules, designed props and visual assets, purchased props and costumes, drafted shot list and pre-vis beat sheet edit, and organized extensive equipment inventory.

Production Designer | Further In | Independent Short Film

Art department lead for an on-location production . Delegated and directed prop tracking and set decoration tasks to a team of three production assistants.
Constructed custom props: a primitive fish trap, whittled and weaved from blackberry bramble, sticks, and ferns as rope; and a ‘lean-to’ survivalist shelter fabricated from foraged materials on and around the filming location.

Video Producer and Marketing Strategist | Various Clients

Filmed and edited this video for Past Lives before being promoted to Marketing Director. With the help of new SEO and marketing strategies enacted in 2023, both their membership and Instagram follower count tripled, with the momentum ultimately growing them to 250 members and over 10,000 followers (from <60 and 2,000 respectively) in less than one year.

I have served as a One-Man Creative Freelancer for many clients over the years, as well as a marketing and branding consultant for independent artists and startups. For Past Lives, I produced three video ad series: seven videos for class advertisements, five video tours of the separate shop spaces, and six member interviews. More info in Marketing Portfolio

Camera Assistant | Middle Grounds | Documentary Film

Assisted Emmy-winning cinematographer Sherri Kauk with all things camera, grip, lighting, and interviewing in a tight-knit team of five documenting the owner and story of local community business Bison Coffeehouse. Operated an ALEXA LF ARRI camera rig for B-Roll footage, mounted flags and floppies, loaded memory cards, and completed ‘2nd AC’ tasks— maintained and operated the slate, marked the take for syncing, and coordinated image release forms. Assisted producer with various tasks as needed i.e. crowd control, and equipment breakdown.

Camera Operator | 10+ Credits & 50+ Social Media Videos

Supported documentary, video advertising, and live event productions over the years as camera operator, gaining experience with large-format ARRI and RED camera builds, as well as the Sony FS7, Panasomic Lumix GH5, and Canon Cinema EOS series cameras. Personally using a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema for present and future clients, PJ is a well-rounded videographer currently available for hire for concerts, corporate interviews, company events, and social media content.

Dailies Technician | Netflix’s Cobra Kai | Season 1

Post production services as staff position at Sim International (formerly Bling Digital). Trained in Davinci Resolve as Colorist and Editor. Processed and organized footage for Dailies, filed camera sheets, tracked metadata, and maintained strict file organization. Applied basic Dailies edits. Managed the digital footage transfers and equipment shipments from Atlanta filming location to Los Angeles post production house.

Safety Coordinator | Further In | On-Location in Vernonia, OR

Managed weaponry in art department as prop master for firearms and pocket knives props. Taught actors how to properly and safely use props. Supervised the use of a special FX propane rig with ceramic logs for campfire sequence. Informed crew of health and safety protocols for our on-location set, COVID-related etiquette, and weapons safety. Distributed masks and first aid as needed.

Assistant Editor and Colorist | Tré Burt’s Dixie Red | Music Video

Supported director with Editing and Assistant work on multiple projects including for Tré Burt, the Center for Equity and Inclusion PDX, and Metallica’s 40th Anniversary Concert. Organized production office, filed insurance paperwork, and equipment inventory as office manager as needed while at Field Recordings.

Art Department Assistant | The Front Runner | Feature-Film

Fabricated hundreds of set dressing pieces and props featured in crowd shots. Designed, cut, printed, and hand painted crisp typography assets. Provided production assistant tasks to art department as needed.

Development Producer | Sugar and The Real Stephen Blatt | Episodic

Producer in writers’ room for clients Dylan McDermott and Justin & Christian Long on two separate episodic series they were each producing in partner with Semkhor Productions and Ringling College. Edited and notated scripts for story continuity and created lists for shots, props, and costumes. Scouted and photographed locations, wrote and coordinated casting calls, notated meetings (type 110 WPM), and assisted the executive producers in creating aspects of deal memos and the production schedule.

A team of 10 students were selected to work for the show in an executive capacity; and then after development, the two shows were filmed on and around campus with a larger team of students.

Production Coordinator and Digital Production Specialist | ART Network TV | 2 Telly Awards and 1 Communicator Award

Produced, coordinated employee schedules, and assisted camera on four episodes of Going Up!, and other video series for Ringling College’s ART Network. Filed and organized production crew sheets, release forms, and meeting notes with both employees and clients. Led interviews with Helen Hunt, Sissy Spacek, and other visiting celebrities about filmmaking and storytelling.

Built spreadsheets for production management to track shots, assets, props, calendar, edits and critiques; vendor contact information, tasks and deadlines, and communication trail.

Implemented a similar database for a client: an animation studio that made the change to remote management.

Editor and Production Manager | Clemson Broadcast Productions

Edited multiple 30-second spots produced for the Clemson University Tigers. Tracked shots and props on multi-camera shoots as production manager for additional Clemson University productions, occasionally serving as camera operator and interviewer.

Dancer and Background Actor | When the Mood Strikes

With 3 Dancer credits in music videos and 6 on-camera background roles (short films and network television), PJ is also an adept dancer with bright eyes, a goofy disposition, and some seriously unique somatic experiences. If your project is the right fit, supporting your music video as a dancer is also an option. While there will be a dance reel eventually, it is not currently the work she’s seeking.
